Nursery

Creator is delighted to offer the Musicgarten Curriculum to our children.

Musikgarten is an internationally known Early Childhood Music and Movement Program that focuses on teaching tonal and rhythmic patterns which in turn awaken and stimulate neural pathways in the brain. These have been shown to help develop memory, math skills, organizational thinking, and powers of abstract and creative thinking.

We sing and move to traditional folk songs from a variety of cultures as well as classical music, use manipulatives, (rhythm sticks, jingles, etc.), hear specific sound sources and rhymes ( focused listening), dance and play.
We will be using the curriculum "God's Children Sing" this school year.

The Creator Youth Program consists of the Jr. Youth (6-8 grade) and Sr. Youth (9-12 grade). Jolyne Shirley is the Youth Ministries Coordinator and Bill Cruse is the EYC Director. Bill and Morgan Cruse directly oversee activities with the Jr. Youth and Larry and Rhea Estes directly oversee activities with the Sr. Youth.

The Jr. Youth meet each Wednesday night at the Church of the Creator from 6:15 PM to 7:00 PM.

The Sr. Youth meet each Sunday night from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the church, unless otherwise specified

Both groups are developing programs to involve the youth in spiritual development as well as organized activities, community projects, life-learning field trips and fund-raisers. The youth will be involved in 2007 in helping build a Youth Program website as part of the Church of Creator website. This site will hopefully include photos of activities and events plus a calendar of activities/events scheduled for the year.

Youth are invited to attend and participate in these meetings and encouraged to be involved in building a youth program for which the church and the youth will be proud.
